New Patients

New Patient Experience

Dr. Gusha is currently welcome and accept new patients of every age and ability.

Children’s First Visit:

Dr. Gusha as well as our staff can make even our tiniest of patients feel at ease during their first visit. Children aged 1- 18 years of age will be seen by a qualified and compassionate hygienist and doctor for their initial visit. The hygienist will perform a cleaning and help instruct the child on proper brushing and flossing techniques. Depending on age, the child may also have between 2 and 4 bitewing x-rays taken and topical fluoride applied.

Adult’s First Visit:

Because we are committed to providing excellent dental care, you will find that your first visit to our office will include a thorough and comprehensive examination, lasting approximately 90 minutes. Before you are brought into a treatment room, you will have the opportunity to meet with one of the doctors and discuss any oral health concerns that you may have. In order for our dentists to diagnose any potential dental conditions and to evaluate the health of your teeth, gums, and surrounding bone, it is necessary for our office to obtain from you a full series of current x-rays, either from your previous dental provider or during the day of your appointment. Our comprehensive examination consists of a blood pressure check and an oral cancer and periodontal disease screening. Oral photos will be taken at this visit to use as a diagnostic tool. Ultimately, we will devise a unique treatment plan to address any concerns/conditions that were discovered during the examination.

Because your overall dental health will be evaluated at this initial visit, you will not receive a cleaning during this appointment. Based on the findings of your examination and x-rays, Dr. Gusha will determine the level of cleaning that is appropriate for you. At the end of your appointment, you will have the opportunity to schedule an appointment for a cleaning.

To schedule a new patient appointment, please contact our office at (508) 829-5435.

If you have a medical condition that requires you to premedicate for dental visits, we ask that you let us know and take your prescription for this appointment.
